CHRISTMAS <3
Christmas is just less than two months away. And I know I am not the only one who is surprised with how quick days have actually gone past. This is going to be my 4th Christmas here in UK. I was planning to go back to the Philippines this December because I really missed how Filipinos celebrate Christmas, but unfortunately things are not acting the way I wanted/planned them to be.
Looking back, I missed how my mom asks my brothers to decorate our two Indian trees outside the house with Christmas lights around them. The way us, and not only us but almost everyone decorate their houses with bright Christmas decorations. I missed waking up at 3am to attend”Misa de Gallo (Simbang gabi). I am craving since God-knows-when native foods such as “puto bumbong” (rice steamed inside a “bumbong,” or small bamboo tube), “bibingka” (rice cake with salted eggs and fresh coconut meat) and “suman” (steamed rice wrapped in banana leaves) which are normally sold outside the church. I missed the carolers who visit our house, serenading us with Christmas carols using their musical instruments. And more!!! It’s just the best way to celebrate Christmas. I keep telling my friends (not Filipinos) here in UK about how we, Filipinos, celebrate Christmas in the Philippines. I want them to experience the real Christmas, which for me, is Filipino Christmas -where everyone is just so excited that as soon as September arrives, Christmas has arrived. *Sigh*
I love Christmas! My Christmas list is (at this very moment) teeming. I don’t want to write them all down here but I will do anyway just so when friends and family visit my blog, they won’t have a hard time thinking of what to give me this coming Christmas. I will even include pictures to make life even easier for them. Hahaha!
• Aldo boots
• SLR camera
• Rosary necklace
• Bobbi brown/ MAC cosmetics make-up brush SET
• GHD hair straightener
And ALL THESE!!
Of course these only are things that I HOPE I can have this Christmas. I still wish happiness and good health for my family and friends, World Peace and Food for everyone in this world. =)
